little books

Here are a few pictures of one of the books I made last week. I got the idea from KellyKilmer's blog. http://kellykilmer.blogspot.com/
She teaches several workshops that I'd love to take, unfortunately she teaches mostly on the west coast.

My little book is different from her workshop book, but she inspired me so I tried my hand at it, making it up as I went along.

I gave one of these to a friend for her birthday. She seemed to appreciate it.

What pretty little books! Are you still using your charkha and do you like it? I am contemplating whether to get one.

Thanks!
I have not spun very much lately on my charkha, because my AA wheel came just in time for Christmas.

I also have been doing lots of art cards and little books lately, so the fiber has been languishing.

If you do go for a charkha, the bosworths are the bomb!

Thanks for the info. Do you think the Ashford charkha would be easier to work with?
Funny, I make art cards and journals too! I do that whenever I need a break from the spinning/knitting. I have an Ashford tranditional wheel and the legs keep separating when I pick up speed. I have no idea why but it is annoying!

Yes, she liked it! It's sitting on my entryway dresser so I can see it and smile everytime I walk in or out of my house. :)
